Configure Cloud Sync
Use Cloud Sync to keep Kora sessions and settings aligned between Macs. Before opening its settings, connect a valid Kora Cloud key under Settings → AI Providers → Kora.
Enable synchronization
Section titled “Enable synchronization”- Open Settings → Cloud Sync.
- Generate a new 12-word BIP-39 passphrase, or paste one you already have.
- Save the passphrase. Kora stores it in the macOS Keychain.
- Confirm that the Cloud Sync indicator changes to active.
Add another Mac
Section titled “Add another Mac”- Install Kora and connect the same Kora Cloud account on the other Mac.
- Open Settings → Cloud Sync.
- Enter the same 12-word passphrase.
- Wait for the synchronized sessions to appear.
Protect the passphrase
Section titled “Protect the passphrase”The passphrase stays on the Mac and is stored in the macOS Keychain. Kora sends encrypted session data, not the passphrase. Keep a separate secure copy: the passphrase cannot be recovered from the synchronization service.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- Synchronization doesn’t start → confirm the Kora Cloud key shows Valid under Settings → AI Providers → Kora.
- Cloud Sync settings are locked → connect the Kora Cloud key first, then reopen Settings → Cloud Sync.
- Lost passphrase → there is no recovery mechanism; without it, Kora cannot decrypt the synchronized session data.
- The other Mac shows no sessions → confirm both installations use the same passphrase and Kora Cloud account.
